About the event

Join food rights advocate, hip hop producer, and visionary artist, Mage for an open format seed starting workshop using recycled materials to create a mini greenhouse that is resistant to cold weather. This container will allow the seedlings to be protected from lingering winter conditions while gradually hardening off in the climate intended to for planting.

This technique creates a great way to repurpose recycled materials while creating a deeper connection with the Earth. Not only will you inevitably save money by cultivating your own food source but you will also reap the nutritional and therapeutic effects of caring for and raising your own lifeform.

In this class you will learn the basics of germination as well as suggested planting techniques and conditions.

Bringing your own plastic jugs is suggested but materials will be provided for a suggested donation of $5 although it is strongly recommended to come even if money is a problem as the information is invaluable.

Also this event will serve as a donation drive to help fund Green Village Recycling operations in 2020, check http://greenvillagerecycling.com for more info and a donation link.

Also, Also, Also....It might be cool to have this event be a listening party as well....so bring your favorite tunes to share...be mindful of the little, impressionable ones when selecting songs with questionable lyrical content.

Please RSVP to bhanvey.gvr@gmail.com if you plan on making it.

Also please message me if you plan on bringing seeds to share/ soil/ compost. Thanks in advance.

This requires no prior knowledge and all skill levels are welcome, we are all each others teachers.
